Dare Devils

Cole loves to jump. He is fearless, and has the bumps and bruises to show for it. Grant is a little more timid, although he still has plenty of bumps and bruises. Sometimes Cole has to encourage his brother. Grant doesn't necessarily appreciate this. Witness the following, which occurred today. I thought it made a nice little Valentines Day show of brotherly love.

Boo loves looking at "the boys" blog. Grandma got her started on it while we were there this summer. She especially loves to watch the videos, usually more than once. She gets a kick out of explaining what they are doing. She was so excited to see them jumping until Skeezix pushed Festus then she got very concerned and felt very sad for Festus.

My girls always love the videos, too, but they thought the push was hilarious. Maybe it's because they have been there/done that and they know that it truly is brotherly/sisterly kindness to do something like that.

Watching Skeezix gives me the heeby geebies - no fear for a death-defying move.
Watching Festus as he contemplates possibly a take-off with no hands on the wall. He is thinking of the risk in a very different way than his brother.
Also, it's interesting to see the protest - "hey, that's not fair!" What a pair!
