"Wii don't need no education..."
Yesterday I volunteered in Grant's kindergarten class. I was helping a boy that struggles (with paying attention and focusing from what I could tell.) He was supposed to practice writing the "star" words (we, me, he, she) on his mini chalk board, and needs direct supervision in order to accomplish anything.
I said, "okay - the first word you're going to write is 'we' - do you know how to write 'we'?"
He paused for a second, then said, "oh, yah" - and in all seriousness wrote the following:
It took me a second to get it.
And, well, I'd say that explains a lot.

Science Corner
Cole explores chemistry: Dad I need to put food coloring in this pickle juice and see what it's gonna make.
Grant discusses zoology: (referring to Steve Irwin) He's very good with snakes but he's not very good with ocean animals.

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL!
The boys scored their first goals in a real game today!
Grant was mightily proud of his goal...
...and Cole scored twice in what was probably a solid win (if anyone had bothered to keep score).
