We would really like to thank all who commented and supported us in our hour of agony over the whole sharpie/furniture incident. The
Zabriskies assure us that the claim has been made on their warranty to get the graffiti chair cleaned or replaced. (I hope they're not just telling us that.) We took Cole over tonight to make a formal apology (although he seemed unrepentant) and just fed pretzels to the dog most of the time.

So for the past few days, we've been limiting our activities to strictly outdoors. Yesterday we went to the zoo, spent lots of time in the yard, and today we went to the
trees. Isn't this a great yard? This should make any moss loving, rain seeking, tree hugging freak want to live here. (That's our way of encouraging friends and family to come to the great
NorthWest.)

And although there is a significant increase in slips, falls, bonks, sticks in the eye, etc... it' s pretty hard to do any damage to the landscape. So the point is, they still have to be watched with eagle-like sharpness every second to avoid an even pricier trip to the ER, but at least they're not vandalizing anyone's furniture, equipment, or priceless family heirlooms (I think that's what they're going for next.)

Okay, I'm confused. What trees are you talking about? The link goes to the blog of Daniel and Dalynn for a 2 year old birthday party. But the next picture looks like it's in trees. Is that your back yard? It looks like a hike through a rain forest. Of course, since we live in the desert, any setting like that is totally foreign. I thought you had gone someplace new and exotic.

We've got new moss on the driveway! You saw it on Friday, but its still beautiful enough to look at every day. Maybe Festus can help us transplant it to the living room while Skeezix finds the perfect shade of green marker for the wall.
