Lost and Found

Notice anything unusual about this photo of our computer table? (...Other than the fact that it was unusually clean when I took the picture.)
Let's see:
  • CPU
  • Keyboard
  • Monitor (with flamingo screen saver)
  • Printer
  • Phone
  • Cell phone charger
  • Calculator
  • Sunglasses
  • Tape measure
  • Assorted USB drives
  • Scissors
  • Mouse
  • Snake
  • What? You don't keep your snake under your keyboard so it can jump out when you're innocently checking your e-mail and scare the megabytes right out of you? Well, you should try it sometime. It'll wake you up more effectively than any artificial stimulant. And if your family is anything like ours, it will provide a measure of relief to a five-year-old who somehow misplaced his snake.

That would have given me any number of reactions - heeby geebies, heart attack, loss of continence, loss of pulse, change of gray hair to scared spitless white hair, and more I would not like to contemplate. It's not the small, innocent looking reptile - it would be the shock to my delicate constitution.

You need to teach the critter catchers to keep a better eye on their in-house guests. Yikes!

Luckily we haven't run into any of the black rat snakes we're supposed to have right outside our front door.
Even if a little snake decided to crawl out from under our keyboard right now, I don't think we'd see it. Total mess.
