In what is sure to be a repeat performance, Cole got his first visit to the emergency room today. After a long day of playing in the mud and other activities, Ma decided that the boys needed a bath. After Cole got out he wanted to sit on the "Big Boy Potty" but he didn't stay there for long. He got up and slipped on the wet tile, falling and catching a small ledge below the sink with his head. Gotta love those head wounds for producing spectacular flows of blood. This picture was taken after we cleaned him up a little.

At the hospital he got two staples and didn't appreciate them one bit.

That one's worth viewing at full size. Fortunately our hospital has a pediatric ER and they are well stocked with popsicles; Grant even got one.

And finally, the reason Cole has vowed to return often, the nurse gave him a "beanie" frog named Smoochy.

Next time he's going for the stuffed moose.

OUCH and OUCH!!!! STAPLES!?!?! Isn't there a law against stapling the holes in children's heads shut? I should know; I've considered it more than once. Glad to see pictures of him not crying his eyes out. What a toughie! Give him kisses from his bossy aunt and cousins. XOXO
Oh no! I'm so glad he's alright! You'll have to bring him and his brother over so we can give him so good ol' fashioned Zabriskie lovin'!
Grandpa in NEAZ says:
Daddy can't ride a bike and boy can't ride a toilet.
Too dangerous!
Brings back memories... One of our girls fell off the monkey bars at Sheldon school, Kindergarten. Was it Laura? Mrs. DeMare (who just passed away, by the way) was so traumatized. Maybe she was concerned about the school being sued. She was hyper-ventilating and I was just fine. What's a little gushing, bloody slit among academics fellow travelers? We just took her to the doctor and got stitches. She got a sucker, but no stuffed frogs, poor dear.
Impressed by the pictures of the head wound in NEAZ
That was me. I'd like to take credit for my scars thank you very much! :)
