I dread the arrival of Christmas paraphernalia in stores at Halloween, but the first nog of the season almost makes it worth it. Note the expiration date. How does eggnog do it? Milk expires a week or two after it arrives on store shelves but this particular carton of nog (purchased last Saturday) gets a full seven weeks. Incredible. And incredibly delicious.

There definitely is nothing better than eggnog. I never realized expiration dates on cartons.....I never cared because the eggnog was gone within a day. You pointing that out made Heidi hate it even more. She thinks it feels like breaking up a dozen eggs into a cup and drinking them....thus the "EGG" with added flavor, right? Eggnog ready in McCammon!!!!
